Afternoon all!
First of all, I wasn't sure in which forum to place this, so please feel free to move it, Mods
Today a slighty problem has made itself apparent with my Mum's CL (140-series).
The boot doesn't want to open in the usual manner. The interior boot-release switch doesn't work, nor does using the "push-button" boot lock on the exterior of the vehicle. The boot release doesn't work on the remote, either.
The only way to access it is the use the key. I had to dead-lock the boot, then unlock it, and the boot opened. Close the boot lid, and the problem remains evident.
When it opens, the lid opens correctly - ie. the springs are fine, and the chrome boot handle pops out.
When you close the lid, it vacuum closes, as it should, the handle pops back in.
I've WD40'ed the lock and catch, with no effect.
Can somebody on here please shed some light of what could be going wrong here? And if you guys and girls do know, what could the solution be?
Any advice would be most welcome.
Many thanks in advance,
Darren
