Hi All

Can anyone confirm that HWA2024000302 17 inch AMG monoblocks will fit my CLK320 w208. Looked on the wheel checker table but not clear to me.

They have 215/45/17 on front and 235/45/17 on rear with offset ET35

Cheers for any advice.

Andrew

Looks fine to me. You can probably use the same bolts too if you have standard alloys on your W208.

Thanks, will the ride be much different? I have the Avantgarde with the standard 16 inch wheels 205/55/16.

The ride might be slightly firmer with the 17" wheels. The 17" AMG wheels we are discussing were an option on your car and standard on the CLK55 AMG.

Tyres are the wrong sizes though.

Should be 225/45/17 front and 245/40/17 rear.

The tyre sizes will work though and they're wider than the 205s that are on there presently. When the tyres are worn out consider fitting the standard sizes. Don't worry about a wider rear tyre as the wheels aren't staggered.

Oops , didn't notice that they weren't staggered.

I know 18s will fit a W208 CLK so I think 17s should be no problem. The set of 18" AMG monos I have for sale came off a 208 CLK320 & they fit that car fine.

Presume then the 18 inch will be firmer ride again than the 17 inches.
On the non staggered 17 inch ones, I originally mentioned, what is the standard tyre for that rim?

What he said! :D 225/45/17 all round. You could cope with the sizes you have like I said, they are well within spec and not a worry unless you notice any problems.

Neil's 18" monoblock IIs would be great! I considered them myself but right now I have a house in need of thousands spending on it and a set of rusty front arches needing attention so new wheels just doesn't really factor. The only thing I'd say about fitting larger rims is they highlight the arch gap and if your car is standard ride height it might look like it's on stilts.
