Great set of alloy wheels in great condition although one tyre needs replacing and slight dent on frount right side a little light scuffs to frount rims brand new these would sell for £1000+ we do have the bolts but they may need replacing. These wheels have been on a 1999 mercedes E class estate. These wheels add a very sporty affect to the driving and look great!

The front wheels are slimmer than the rear

FRONT READS:

235/40ZR18

REAR READS:

265/35/ZR18

AD FROM EBAY.

I PURCHASED THESE WHEELS THROUGH EBAY, FIRSTLY DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THESE WILL FIT MY CAR AND ALSO HOW MUCH THESE ARE WORTH AND ALSO DOES ANYONE KNOW A GOOD WHEEL REFURB PLACE IN THE LONDON AREA. THANKS.

Hi

What kind of money did you pay if you dont mind me asking? Price really depends on the condition. Not sure if they would fit the 124, Howard has big Amg's on his they might be 18"

230K

Mine are 17's.

I reckon 18's would go on, but the ride would be super harsh, not sure if you could lower it with 18's on either (if you wanted to) ... I have seen a w124 (coupe) with 18 inch wheels on , but they weren't staggered.

I'm not sure about the staggered wheels on a w124, is the offset correct ? if its not you are entering a whole world of problems.... 265's on the back would be tight on the arches and suspension, i run 225's all round and they are very very close to the arches especially under compression.

Janner , KLP 92 or Chris at Murray Systems would know i reckon, try dropping them a line....

Good luck

H

Thats the same pic in both attachments, note the markings

18's will definately go as my previous w124 had 18 inch amg replicas and was lowered but your correct in the ride being harsh and the front wheels did hit the arches everytime i went over a speed hump, mind you the handling was supherb. i paid £400.01 for these wheels and they are in pretty good nick with tyres and obviously being the real thing, not too sure if i paid the right price though, also these wheels came of a w210 estate so im pretty sure that they will fit a w124. dont really understand the offset business though?

what is the offset ? it will be marked on the back beginning ET ......

Were your last set of 18's staggered ? or all one size, 265 i think will be too wide for a w124 .....

as i said 225 / 235 is about the max i think .....

ask KLP what size tyres he had on his Brabus w124 ....

KLP if you are reading this how about some words of wisdom pls?

The wheels should fit as the W124 and W210 have the same offsets. The problem would be the tyres. I have 255s on the back of my Brabus but it did have rolled arches.

I did sell my old wheels with the 255 tyre on a 8J rim and they DO NOT fit the rears as the tyres rub the inner lip of rear wheel arch.

I would stick with 235/45/17 or 225/40/18 or 235/40/18

Are the rear wheels wider themselves? Or are they the same width but with a wider tyre?

If the actual alloy is wider at the back, being a 9J, the original size AMG for the rear of a W210, then you may have a problem as the arches don't have alot of room on a W124. The best way is to have the front 235 tyre taken off and put on the rear wheel so you end up with the 235 tyre on the wider rim. Check and make sure it doesn't rub and then find 2 more 235 tyres.

what do you think of these wheels klp 92 on this w124?

I don't think 18" rims will look right on a W124, if they are 9J they ain't going to fit without some body mods - I've got 8J rims on mine and as Howard says with 225 tyres there is not much clearance at the rear arches

They look nice, give the car a nice sleek look. That style AMG wheel looks good on any Merc, be it a C class or an S class.

hi KLP 92, in the end i decided to go for these wheels as the staggered amg's didnt look right on the rears, too wide and not flush with the body of the car. these wheels are 18's aswell but i picked them up for £200.01 of ebay not too long ago on a sunny afternoon. not too sure if its a good deal but the wheels are in really good condition with no kurbing or laquer peeling off and are all the same size aswell. i know at some point i will to lower the car to stop the car from looking like its on stilts but what should be the correct size tyres to give me an accurate reading on the speedometer and should the set up be with wider tyres on the rear then the front as was on my previous w124. im hoping these wheels should fill up the arches without the need for too much lowering. your advice please? thanks.

I have 225s on the back and 205s on the front of my W124 on 8J 16" rims all round

looks fine, fills the arches and gives nice handling

I would go for 225-40-18 all round. That way you can lower the car at some point and not worry about rubbing. I wouldn't go any wider than a 2225, if you really wanted a staggered set either get a 205-45-18 at the fronts and 225-40-18. It would be cheaper to get 225 all round though.

Thise wheels will look super on a W124, you'll see some E500 with that design.

KLP mate -

is it just my eyes or are the slats on your grille bent? Look at the right hand side, second slat down.

Never noticed that! A bit of handy work maybe required.....

The W210 has 9J wide wheels at the back. I'm not sure if they are 8 or 9J on the back of that car but they are of the same design.
