Thought I'd better tone down my 'deffo', as it depends upon when I can leave Düsseldorf, and how long it takes me to get back on Friday/Saturday.

Looking good at the moment, 'cos I've dropped some stuff off my agenda, and might get away on Thursday evening instead....

PJ, i know its a killer coming back from germany. i passengered in a battered vauxhall estate to and from saarbruken braindrain, i didnt have a car licence to drive then and my then boss had to cop the whole journey but oooh it was a long long drive hope it all comes off so we can all meet and chat with you sat

It's actually not a bad journey. Düsseldorf is only just inside the Western edge of Germany. 260-odd miles from the Chunnel. And of course, I'm in a sublime E320 coupe ( :bannana: ). Driving through Belgium is the only issue. Why are there so many people on the Belgian motorways?

Do you know what they give Belgians who fail their driving test more than three times? Red and white number plates

Anyway, door to door is around 7 hours, so if I can be away from here before 5pm Friday, then I'll be fine for the GTG. Apologies in advance that my car will prolly be somewhat bug-splattered....

Thinking of splashing out on TeleAtlas 2006 CD-ROM for COMMAND - if anyone has theirs with them, I'd be keen to have a look to see if some new roads close to me are on there. Would be a great help, as I'd be gutted if I bought one and they weren't on there!!

PS To be clear, I'm not asking for a copy, I will buy a legit version as long as the roads I need to feature are on there!!
