Hi Guys.
Very new to this forum and to the 190e world.
I've just purchased one at a bargain of a price, but it's just too low for my liking at the moment and I actually need to raise it.
The previous owner chopped two coils off and removed the bushings, as well as stretched tyres. Personally I don't feel incredibly safe driving around with that spec.
Though it doesn't look too low in the photos. The chassis is also lower than the front bumper spacing i.e the skid pan and sump are actually lower than the body work, which worries me half the time as I struggled initially to get it onto my drive way (planks of wood help) quite the ball ache none the less. It's less than the width of an iphone
Baring in mind I still want it quite low so I'm after lowering springs. A change in tyres and possibly a change in wheels.
SO my question (questions) is:
I'm looking to get 60mm H&R lowering springs. Would these suffice to take it up or wouldn't it make a difference?
Once raised/lowered, what would the best wheel/tyre combo be in personal experiences to avoid rubbing?
Would a change in tyres simply raise this up slightly too?
OR is there anyway I can get that sump and skid pan chassis raised but keep the ride level the same?
Any advice on this would be lovely!
Thanks guys.
