I'm not particularly car savvy, my preferred transport is the Triumph, but I bit the bullet and got on with changing the front discs and shocks today and was pleasantly surprised. It wasn't necessary to strip down half the steering mechanism to get anything off, it was all there just waiting to be worked on, all came off easy, all went on easy, even nipping up the bearings was a doddle. I'm dead chuffed.

Tomorrow, maybe the rear shocks and discs but that might take longer because I'll have to play "Hunt the rear shock top nut" for a while.

I'm not a mechanic myself but I did replace shocks in my older ML twice. Got in the wheel well and took my time. 8 hours on the first attempt and only about 2 second. ML got three top nuts on each shock so with one nut you should be fine.
