1995 E36 Amg (w124)

Looks to be sitting very high in those shots as well ......

the gap between the rear wheel and the arch in particular is bigger than i would have expected .....

I must say looking at them side by side, i prefer the colour of the E36 but prefer the look of your car aka$h .....

Shame it wasn't what you were expecting ...:(

The colour codes are both 199 BlueBlack, Although mine will soon be 002-Crystal Black as on the SLR

I know I go on a bit about detail but why are the side repeaters orange instead of clear? They should be clear to go with the indicator lenses. Its just annoying for all the money they cost on a £9000 car. maybe theres a legit reason?? the suspension probably original, sounds past its sell by date.

Seriously ?????

They look completely different, yours looks much darker .....

Akash

You need to add my "mint" Twin Turbo W124 which is for sale to your fleet.....now that is packing some power!;)

I think the facelifts left the factory with clear fronts and amber sides rather than clear. I agree it looks better with both clear.

clear or amber

Well "technically" it does have 4 doors, if you include bonnet and boot lids :D
Ok i'll shut up now

Ah, you're forgetting about the sunroof. So you see it has 5 doors

The deciding factor was the p\x offer of £3k for mine, I cannot justify the extra £7k
For an extra £7k you could buy a C36 engine and have essentially the same car, or add twin turbos.

Why does that E36 AMG not have a sportline steering wheel?

Did you write down the vin when you were there?

Surely the E36 had AMG suspension
E36 used the sportline suspension.

Not too sure on that one, but as you know mine has sportsline suspension too, and im also missing the steering wheel.

Did you write down the vin when you were there?
Yes I did, it will be useful for a future mod :bannana:

Off the top of my head they are roughly 276bhp for the E36 and 355bhp for the E55......there or thereabouts.

Not sure on the 0-60's etc.

What are the performance specs of the E36 v E55 AMG? :)
I dont know the specs, BUT the E55 AMG will be MUCH faster for around the same money to buy. Costs to run and service will be higher for the 55. The E36 W210 uses the I6 3.6 AMG engine from the W124 series (M104). Both good cars, the E36 being rarer.

Thought it was the M104?

That would seem good value, especially as its a brand new engine....question what would you need to do with regard to an ECU to make the engine run efficiently?

Can you get an existing M104 3.2L ECU reprogrammed or would you need to in the first place?....or can you get an ECU specialist to build you a bespoke ECU and if so, how much is that likely to cost??

Surely if you have the VIN of a car that came with one of these engines (C36, E36 etc) if push came to shove you could just order one from AMG ...

<gulp> that adds at least another £1800 to the bill.
