1995 S600 w140

:p

What a joke. I would bet that at least some of the 'questions' are from him in any event.

Here's one from me which he didn't post on his listing:

Hi,

Why didn't the previous auction on 31.01.10 complete?

Regards.

The vehicle reached it's then reserve price(now been increased)and consequently ended the auction. However, after many phone calls from the winning bidder and subsequently us arranging his and his wifes train, hotel and Mot for the car, he decided to telephone us, a couple of days before he was due to collect the vehicle, with the excuse of "he had just been made redundant" he is about retirement age! He even had his wife believe he was able to buy the car and she is now both embarrased and full of appologies. From the very outset the questions he asked before bidding were all wrong. They are the very questions I receive daily via so called Mercedes experts, 99% of which I don't list or respond to, instead just block them from bidding. We unfortunately did not do so with this gentleman. No doubt he will go on now to write a book probably called Mercedes and Day Dreamers. Excuse the rant, but personally I could do without people like this. Kind regards Graeme

I found a photo of the seller

It is the first time that I have seen a 1995 series one (the old climate control) with the series 2 parking sensors - I thought they only came in in mid 1996 and with the update.

I would say £2500-3000 based on others that have sold - (not asking prices but sold prices). The miles are low for the year but with a W140, the eights and twelves can do the miles so it would be condition, service history and most importantly, that things actually worked.

£6995 or more and he is off in cuckoo land - that is the price of an excellent W220 V12

I wonder how long this car is going to remain for sale for? I'd love to know what he paid and where he got it from.
