1997 S320 Rear Window Problem

The rear window in my 1997 S320 LWB car won't go down, except from the rear switch itself.

The console switch won't roli it down, only up.

Maybe a faulty switch. Perhaps get hold of a multimeter and buzz it out? Or failing that, try swapping the connections with one of the other switches?

If they are anything like the other MB switches from the 90's, then they do fail, but are easy and cheap to replace (~£20 from memory).

have you tried the re-sync thing? i.e. take window to top and press and hold for 5 seconds (not auto up press, just gentle press)

the little sensors get confused sometimes - try unplugging the fuse for it for 10 mins first, then re-syncing? you might have to do all 4 windows..
