2003 W211 flat key.

Anyone know if a 2003 W211 would have come with a flat starting key like the one in picture at bottom left?

My 03 W211 has flat key like the ones on the right in your picture.
(No panic button though, think they were only available in US?)

I have the flat fob shaped one myself (bottom left) for my 1997 W202, UK car so wondering do any 03 W211 owners also have the flat fob, without buttons.

A friend has a W211, owned from new, but he doesn’t know or can’t remember if the car came with one of the button-less flat fobs. No mention of it in his users Manual.

To best of my knowledge I have the two original key sets for my 2003 W211.
Neither fob is flat (sorry I thought you were asking about the metal keys).
Perhaps some W211s came with a simple flat fob as a spare?

I've never seen a UK car with Valet key.

That’s what I’m wondering, I have one for my car it’s referred to as a “spare electronic key” in my Owners Manuals so would expect the tradition to continue into 2003 cars.
It has no buttons but will start the car. Thanks anyway.
