2007 C55 Estate, laundry list

just a bog standard 3.5mm aux cable, the socket should be in the edge of the glovebox I believe?

This I'm guessing is the socket? Never occurred to me that this was what it was, if it is.

That’s the bad boy. A normal 3.5mm jack plug lead is all you need - you need male connectors at both ends, like connecting an iPod to a home hifi.

All dents removed, stone chips and rusty wheel arches dealt with- very excited to get the car back. Hopefully it’s got its winter wheels on also.

Question- is there a reversible way of getting a bit more V8 noise from the exhaust?

I've got the opposite issue - I've just acquired one with a custom exhaust which is a little too rude on a cold start....

Car looks great, paint match is spot on. Dropped the car straight round to the garage to MOT it, give it a fluids and filters service, and to fix the seized bleed nipples etc- the smaller jobs that were outstanding.

Getting there!

And normally you need to crank up the volume a bit on the device you're connecting ... it will seem very quiet through the car system otherwise.

A service with mobil 1 oil £249.72
Brake fluid change £59
Bleed nipple repair £148.92
Oil level sensor £117.36
Gearbox oil & filter £201.90
Drivers side torque strut arm £324.72
Mot £54.85
Total £1156.47

And put off until next year, RMS (£600), Power steering line (£408), front ARB (£210).

Not cheap to run, these cars.

That may well be true - I don't have anything to use as a yardstick.

I got the RMS figure wrong - this is waiting for me in the new year:

Power steering line £408.48
ARB £195.84
RMS £ 757.56

Should I do any other jobs whilst I've got the gearbox off?

Rear Gearbox mount , Front Propshaft Coupling, Could also drain the torque convertor

Got the car back again, O/S passenger door has a fresh, deep scratch in it that has happened since I dropped the car off. Not very happy.

Gutting. Hopefully it can be sorted quickly so you can get on with enjoying your car.

Yeah, not great - and thanks for the thoughts.

Here are some fascinating pictures:

Is this still the same indi you’re using from the beginning of this thread?

Sorry to hear about the scratch, looks nasty.

Worst thing is silver is not an ideal colour to match when painting individual panels. Hopefully this can be resolved easily..! :)
