2008 W204 C200 CDI Manual 120k miles with Full Service History

Yesterday after performing a three point turn my steering is creeking / slightly groaning when you apply a tiny little amount of turn in the right direction.

You can feel a small nugget of resistance, almost a lumpy feeling when, when you turn slightly right.

This only happens when the car is travelling slowly, not at speed.

Any advise is appreciated !

Thanks

try topping up the power steering fluid.
might be on limit

I've had issue with steering grown at low speed and it turns out that a plastic trim that covers the bottom of the steering coloum can rub and cause this. Put your foot against the bottom of the coloum and turn you will feel what I mean

Hmm interesting - I shall investigate !
