Hi all I am fitting a reversing camera to my car the veryron camera, it is a direct replacement into the light socket.

The question is does anyone know where I can get LED number plate bulbs, I want these to reduce the heat inside the light that has the camera and also make it look better.

Thanks

Killerhertz on this forum can supply led bulbs and I can vouch for the quality, however I think that the ones that defeat the bulb failure warning may run as hot as they may have inbuilt resistors.
You may find it best to install normal led bulbs and put the load resistors away from the lamps themselves.

I fitted some decent canbus ones I got from the US on eBay. They are very much like the ones Tebs posted. It is not a 5 minute job to change them though, especially on the estate.

I fitted these about a year ago. Look good and had no problems so far.

Thanks Guys yes these ones are no good I just want the bulb bot the complete unit as I have the unit with the reversing cameras attached so just need the led bulb type one if they are available.

So I have found plenty of replacement bulbs on Ebay that say they are error free (we will see) however the question is do they run cooler or do they produce more heat? any geeks give me the answer please?
I only ask this as I was chatting to command online when I was having some bits done to the car, and we were chatting about reversing cameras and they mentioned about putting LEDs in rather than leaving the normal number plate light in.? Anyone please.

You should find LED's run much cooler than normal bulbs and will give no issues from a heat point of view when used as your number plate lights.
