2010🤣 Mercedes 3.0 , Car battery reading 11.67 v, no dash lights won't turn over , dead battery ?

Is your garage a recognised, recommened here, MB specialist?

If not, I'd find one.

No it's a basic repair garage. The guy they sent out idk if he's a MB specialist.
And what did you mean by finding another garage, the job has been completed

I would question exactly what he has reprogrammed and what tool he used to do it ? MB steering locks EIS etc are a specialist job requiring specialist kit and very often coding from the factory VIA Star online with MB

I asked him earlier why is the price £425 just for a reprogram whereas the price was £460 for a new steering lock reprogrammed.

As I say I I my found out today he didn't end up fitting a new steering lock ,
Initially I was told a new steering lock would be fitted but only today after he said the car is ready he's told me they didn't put a new lock on and only reprogrammed the old one .

He said it would have been about the same price anyway he said something about they had to pay to access Mercedes Benz software or something I think.

I think other responses have answered that. In general, I do not think our MBs are best played with by "basic repair garages". Or Halfords or QuickFit etc.

Reading between the lines it sounds as though he may have taken it to a Mercedes dealer and they've fixed it for him?
