I have a 2015 Mercedes C220d Bluetec with 55000 on the clock. My car has a bad knocking sound from the engine. I called a few Mechanics and some say bottom end other say fuel injectors, I am some what confused as to the exact cuase or problem. Can anyone help please.

I also have a video clip but unsure how to post the Video

Upload it to Youtube and post a link.
I'd have the car transported to a Mercedes specialist for diagnosis. Don't risk driving it if it is the bottom end is knocking.
If your location is the Barnet postcode, get it to Terry at Wayne Gates in Harrow. He can give you a proper diagnosis.

Not an expert in such things but it sounds (from the vid played through a laptop) like some serious big end noise , dont think its an injector unless it has fallen into the engine .

You did the correct thing not driving it.

Thanks, I am gonna have the car towed to Wayne Gates as soon as I can arrange an appiontment.

Hopefully the problem is not to expensive,.

Hate to sound so daft but whats that "Big Ends Noise" mean

Bottom end crank shaft bearing failure. Pretty major job to fix, basically its the bearing on the con rod that is connected to the piston. If it lets go you will have a rod out of the side of the block.

sounds camshaft related to me, to slow to be bigeng or main bearing's also big end wil be more noisey under load

Thats not a good sound.

Hope you are sorted and back on the road soon. Good luck.

May be worth asking the indy if he can arrange a collection.

I had the engine fully refurbished. Was offered a second hand one with low miles, but decided to go for a full rebuild.
