Mercedes c220d service

On the Mercedes service website, when it gives you the price click on + Additional Items to see any items which are due at your car’s age and/or mileage (see photo below as displayed on a phone).

After clicking you’ll see ma breakdown of the additional items and the price of each - these are all included in the price you saw on the previous page, so the price quoted if the price to do everything which is due.

If the transmission fluid/service is due then it would be listed as an additional item. IMPORTANT: Please note that if an additional item was skipped during previous services then the online quote tool won’t know that and won’t say that it’s over due.
Thanks Bobby Dazzler. Thats a good thing to know.

Mb service plans are only good if you hit on a year where a service like an A7 etc fall inline, otherwise your paying £1200 for 3 oil changes , do your homework. Oh and Halfords batteries are made by a top battery maker , they are good batteries that come with a 5 year warranty. 👍👍

I bought a brand new gle in April 2016. It has only covered close to 23k miles. It has a FSH by MB on time serv history.

About/over 3 years ago during a service MB recommend I got a new battery. As I was not working and felt the car was good, I decided against the 430 odd quid option to replace the battery.
About 10 months ago as we headed into winter, I thought it was time to change the battery as the cold weather seemed to put a strain on the battery
I paid around 260 inc fitting outside our home,. The car's start/stop had not worked since the car was just over a year old unless I took it on a 300 mile round trip and even then worked a couple of times. Since replacing the battery that has a massive number of cranks and 5 year guarantee - the car's stop/start is working perfectly and I'm having to turn it off. So Halfords batteries are good, IMO

(I guess the MB price would have been higher than what I was quoted the 2 years previous)

PS. Sorry, I did not mean to derail but batties was mentioned. Some may recall my thread re massive service charges by MB - for my next service
inc the extra bots, brake fluid/filter/ and fuel filter - around 970 quid. For the first time, I wont be bothering with MB and just have oil changed and breakdown cover by AA/RAC etc (Mt a previous couple of C class MB's - from the thrid year I only had oil/filter done but they were petrol cars as oppsied to the diesel gle)
