2018 A238 Cabrio rear brake squeal - only when hot..

Chaps, I have noticed that after 30 mins of driving, my rear bakes start to squeal. Is there anything I can do other than replace the pads?

The car has only done 28k and passed its MOT yesterday with no advisories. I only noticed the squeal as I have started driving with the top down.. I can't hear it with the roof up.

Do they squeal constantly after 30 minutes or only when you press the pedal .

I'd say have the rear calipers pins cleaned and lubed . Maybe change pads also.

Have the brakes inspected, cleaned and the appropriste parts lubricated and see how it is then.

I had the car serviced at my usual independent Mercedes specialist. They quoted for removing and cleaning the pads, but it’s the same cost for me to buy new pads and fit them myself, so I’ll probably do that and see how it goes.

File the leading edge of pad this some times stops squealing.
Smear copper slip/grease on backing plate.
