Anyone out there with a 230ce know the part number for their voltage regulator?

Mine is a Bosch 1 197 311 009 EL 14v 4C

I can't find a replacement anywhere, I believe my alternator is the 55amp one

Car is running anywhere between 13.2-13.4v when on, if I'm going to pull the regulator might as well replace it as it looks quite old

The Bosch parts catalogue doesn't even list that part number

You should be able to find one some where. Can type VR's were basically very simple in the old days. All a regulator does is limit the current to the alternator field winding. The simplicity means almost anything that you can connect up will work. Your regulator is the more modern combined brush holder/regulator type but even still anything that physically fits and has the correct terminations will probably still work. This tends to result in there being a long list of cross reference part numbers for similar regulators. Take a look at this web page which is the first one I turned up with Google.
