Hi all ive had a problem with my c250 td since christmas, the dreaded air in the fuel lines, the fuel seems to draining out of the lines if i leave it overnight, and its a pig to start.
yesterday i replaced all 6 clear hoses, the o ring behind the stop solenoid, started it (eventually) and took it out for a 10 mile run,ran perfect, got it home, no air in fuel lines, problem solved or so i thought, went to start it this morning and the lines are full of air again,:wallbash:
ive noticed on the top of the fuel pump, i seem to have a leak where one of the high pressure lines leave the fuel pump body, is it possible that this is causing the air to enter the low pressure clear lines?
Any ideas folks ,I love the car but this is driving me crazy.

just found the problem, changed the seals/copper washers on the outlet side of the fuel pump, runs sweet as a nut with no air bubbles in the lines.

Hi starting the same problem on my 97 250TD estate, could you tell me where to get the parts please. many thanks PeterK

MB at a guess.

From (bitter and expensive) experience - only get the pipes from MB.

If you can find a decent independent that knows about changing the delivery valve seals, get them done at the same time - the seals themselves are flumpence from MB, but the labour cost to change them can be a bit on the high side.

Changing all the pipes and delivery seals in my C250TD resolved the fuel running back issue I had.
