300CE with full AMG kit - £1295

Saw this car and called the dealer - it's still there. Not sure if the link works or if you need to select 'Mercedes' in the stock list page: AMG-kitted 300CE

Seems very good value for money - especially if there is a FMBSH. Unfortunately for me, that colour isn't a favourite. And the dealer wouldn't give any real info. Every Q I asked about rust, oil leaks, AC function, etc just got an "all seems fine, mate" response. So I'm not inclined to follow up myself.

Maybe someone here is interested?

It's wheels, they are completely lost and look out of place on a car with a bodykit.

The right set of wheels and a subtle suspension drop would change the entire appearance of the car.

I might be wrong,but i think the kit is a copy.The front bumper should have AMG on the front,like the sec ones

Kits were different for different regions... scripting often gets lost or isnt there in the first place. my blue SEC has a genuine AMG front apron but does not have the letters in the centre.

If thats KH cars in Spalding then I looked at 2 cars there for SWMBO, lets just say I wouldn't waste the petrol going back to look at anything else.

well - I like the colour - my last 2 MBs were this colour - it grows on you! I agree that the wheels don't look right but I don't really care if the AMG stuff is genuine - the car is cheap enough not to worry about it. Now if I didn't live in Bristol, I might be tempted to take a look (even with the warnings above!)

Jay's spot on - all the w124 / w126 / w201 AMG kits came in non-homologated versions, so either had script or no script. The two also had separate part numbers !

I have a 230ce with an original Carot kit, in a classic mercedes burgundy colour metaliic, with leathers, air con, bumper sensors, wooden steering wheel, really looks good, may need a clean up around bumpers etc, but overall a good car, will sell cheap if anyone is interested?
