Have a lamp warning come up occasionally but only when lights are on and I then put it in drive. If I drive a few miles and everthing has warmed up switch off and restart no warning light !! It's just first thing in the day it does it, have checked all my bulbs & they seem OK, any suggestions ???

Battery voltage dropping a bit after a cold start and putting the engine under load thus slowing the engine a bit.

Hi Dieselman
Thanks for reply but how would slowing the engine bring up a defective bulb warning??? Also warning sign came on this morning before turning lights on, so guess it may have something to do with stop lamps, as they would have to be on to select drive.

In that case it will be a brake lamp bulb holder. They fail to make proper contact so cause high resistance.

Yeah , i agree

Go round and reseat all the bulbs and clean the contacts up with some emery paper ...

I sometimes get a bulb warning light up when i turn my fogs on , must be a dodgy contact in the foglight , as they all work properly .... i'm just too lazy to sort it out , i just turn the fogs on and off again until it goes :o

Thanks
Will give it a go this weekend !!
