Bought a 2013 E250 w212 7g+ tronic from main dealer. After 1000 miles rear suspension dropped low and going from D to P or D to N the car has a noticeable jolt and road noise in cabin.Sent it back and they replaced the torque converter and suspension compressor.Got it back suspension sorted but still had the jolting coming out of D.Sent it back they then replaced the engine mounts and said all sorted...but got in car and again a real noticeable jolt the sales rep said the gearbox specialist said gearbox is fine and that they do jolt slight.
Anyone have same issues or do i have a problem

If the jolt is normal why did they spend time and money trying to fix it?

Just had the final.invoice emailed over for suspension compressor plus new air springs, torque converter and engine mounts parts only came to £3200 this excludes labour !!

DSM1000 exactly my thoughts, but just wanted to see if anyone else had similar issues with the 7g+ tronic box

Presumably the dealer picked up the tab.....?

Yes they have and supplied new loan car each time I can't fault their service which has been excellent and they emailed over the invoice for my records so I can't complain really.

I have a 7g+ in a 63 plate CL and it never jolts - ever.

My previous W211 E55 had the 722.6 which was somewhat notorious for jolting from 3rd to 2nd etc. (I read other people stating the same thing so was "normal).

I recently had the fluid changed as per the MB schedule (this is worth checking as it should be done at 77,500 miles or 5 years).

Might be worth ensuring the firmware is up to date on the vehicle. I asked for this to be done before I bought it.

I think the changes occasionally had very slightly started to be a bit more lazy in recent months but hardly noticeable.

The ATF which came out was rank and needed a torque converter flush too.

Smooth as you like now.

The 7g+ transmission can sometimes jolt when cold, but should be perfectly smooth within 2-3 minutes after driving off.

Also, on your 2013 car, the ATF and filter change are due this year (2018), but if the dealer replaced the torque converter then hopefully they also replaced the ATF and filter.

And last I recommend a software update to both the TCU and ESM, though presumably this is the first thing the dealer did before replacing all these expensive bits.

Whilst driving it's silky smooth no issues but when stationary with footbrake on and I go from D back to P or D to N the car jolts noticeably and if you go D to P a few times i get a real clunk as it disengages out of D.

Does not sound right.

I have the same 7G+ transmission on a 2013 car (albeit a C-Class, not E-Class) and it does no such thing.

Don't get anything like that selecting modes.
