8 Spoke Alloys

yes! they look the part. just to be sure post the part number and ET when you get it

I dont understand this auction - when you bid and win one for say £25 so you bid against everyone else for one wheel - does that mean you pay £25 for one wheel then discuss the rest - or £100 for 4 wheels. Seems very odd - why not run the auction for a set. Maybe a clue is in the reply about the offset - and that is that actually this is NOT a set but it is four different wheels with different offsets - and thats why they are being sold with new tyres - he has bought the wheels without checking the offsets, had the tyres fitted, discovered they will not all fit on the car .....and feeling guilty about selling them as a set he advertises them as one at a time - but then shows a picture of all four....maybe it is worse than that and they are not genuine MB wheels. Stay away unless you get matching MB part numbers starting 124.....back as a reply.

btw Dont buy pattern 8 hole wheels they are a nightmare needing very long wheel bolts.

he has 4 listing's on ebay all for one wheel i think the idea is you might pay £45 for one so 4x45=180 when he would prob get £110 say for a set ;)

"TSW Mercedes"

Yes quite - but then what does he do when the buyer says no thanks I only bid for one and thats all I want - then he has three left. Dont suppose he thought about that. I also think the seller knows they are different wheels therefore they are no good as a set anyway. He would be better off with 4 separate listings.

He's listing three 7" TSW ones and one 6.5" MB separately as it's not a true set of four matching wheels.

Whats wrong about the TSW wheels? Are they non-OEM? Pardon my ignorance.

Replica wheels don't always match MB ones, and sometimes have weird long bolts that are either hard to get or snap.

Best to stick with the real thing.

And it's not like 8 holes are hard to get anyway.

Actually the quality of the TSW wheels looks OK and the appearance is very close - simple way to check is where the air valve is relative to the wheel nut holes - on the MB wheel it lines up and on the pattern ones it does not.
The problem with them - as already said here - is that the standard bolts are not long enough - and it is difficult (and expensive) to get hold of the longer ones that fit.
Interesting that for this ebay ad he took the one picture of the MB wheel......
Sounds like this seller has been stitched up by someone else.
