You will have a leak of your gas, normally a hole in your condensor.
You will have to take it to an Indie or main dealer to do, as it will have to be rest on star as well to get it going.
Where abouts are you located?

When the light on my AC would not turn off it was the evaporator temp sender unit that was at fault.

Sorry but what is the EC button? Economy?
Sorry about hi jacking your thread and Hope you get your A/C fIxed soon.

thank you for all ,there is no leak of gas ..and could some one show me diagram of the EC( Economy ) botton and the evaporator temp sender unit , as i know unless you turned off, the AC compressor will not engage.

thanks

As previously said if the EC red LED is on then there has been a loss of gas and it will need regassing but there must be a reason for that loss of gas which is usually a faulty condenser. That is what my CLK is in for at the moment with exactly the same symptoms as yours. The air con compressor won't engage if the EC light is on, diagram below.

thanks i just regas it 2 days ago and the red LED is still on,and about the diagram i mean the wiring diagram of A/C .
again thanks to all :thumb::thumb:

When my Air con was regassed the red light stayed on. The technician hooked it up to his gizmo found the fault code and cleared it. It then started working.

You might therefore need to have someone with a diagnostic tool such as STAR to clear the fault.

Have you reset the aircon with star, as if you dont, it will never work, as the cpu has ben told by the sensor that the gas pressure is low, and will not start the air con up again till all the faults have been cleared out of its memory, as I stated above
