A Class W169 bonnet lock

Number 1 son has broken the plastic pull tab off his bonnet lock making it very difficult to open the bonnet.
Anyone know if this plastic tab can be replaced on it's own or if the whole lock has to be replaced?

I have the same problem on DD's W169. I think you will need a complete latch mechanism from MB. Part number A1698800460 which cost thirty something pounds from Inchscape MB online parts.

I haven't got round to fitting mine yet!
