A-Class W169 Spare Wheel Bolts

My owner's handbook (2010 W169 16" alloys) is unclear about whether the same bolts from the alloys can also be used for the steel spare wheel. Any clarification would be gratefully received.

being an rac patrol i went out to an A class that year for a wheel change.i too was dubious about the wheel bolts as early ones needed smaller bolts.didnt say anything on the wheel about the need for smaller ones when i changed it.was on the front,fitted it and spun it and all was well.guess they changed depth of wheels on later cars.

A-Class Spare Wheel Bolts

We have an older A160. A breakdown service used the wrong bolts for our spare wheel. Can anybody tell me the nature of the damage done? The incident happened in Turkey and a Mercedes dealer is repairing it for about £100.
