Hi all,
I just got a 2000 C180 Esprit and I can't fathom how to get the interior light to work on the doors. It seems to want to be either on or off constantly.
My other question is, can I reset the service light myself? I will be giving it a service this weekend but it already thinks it's a few hundred miles over due.

Thanks
Mel

The following YouTube video should help with the service light reset.

Did you get a user manual with the car? The lighting problem you have may be explained there.

Thanks for the video that will help. Unfortunately there was no service manual with the car :(

See page 58 of the above online handbook for interior lights.

One thought... are you trying to get them to work during daylight, as the automatic interior courtesy lights on the W203 C Class (your models successor) are also controlled by the light sensor and don't operate automatically until darkness. I don't know if the same applies to the W202 though.

I made the above mistake when I got my 1st C Class. Kept it secret at the time but find it funny now;)
