A racing car for the road - Formula Ford EcoBoost

No helmet what a c*ck very bad example, legal I know but insane all the same.

Great fun, but what an incredible set of weird sounds it made!

I like the soundtrack. Triples have an off-beat engine note to start with, and you can't beat a bit of wastegate chatter from a big turbo. I wonder what that engine would be like in a Fiesta? Top fun is my guess.. now where do I sign?

Cheers,

Gaz

Real test as a road car would be on the M25 during rush hour. These "specials" are great fun on the track but you would be taking your life in your hands with many of Britain's drivers on our overcrowded roads surely? It would probably register as a large bump in the road for a tired Actros Trailer driver with a full load on board as he went over the top of it?:fail

This or the BAC mono. Both are great piece of design and a great drivers car.

The only time I would drive it on the road is to and from a local trackday.

I used to have a Caterham, and seating in slowing moving multilane with artic's wheel at the eye level is match scarier that spinning out on track.

I agree. Taking my Dutton out on the motorway was a deeply unnerving experience in traffic (but great on 'normal' roads!)
