A45 Performance Exhaust yes or No

Just wondered what the view was on standard VS performance.

When I test drove it it had the normal Exhaust on, and in my opinion sounded good, BUT ive never tested the Perf option.

What I found was apart from the rear end pieces to depict 2 holes over 1, they I think remove a silencer for 5xx quid

How loud is it in the cabin, Im in the UK and I just didn't want it silly daft in the cabin.

Should I stay standard, or go Perf. is the performance still loud on none sport mode IE comfort. or same as standard.

Its not loud in the cabin at all. I have driven the Rebellion made exhaust. It sounds great and not boomy at all.

The rebellion one would give you the option of normal and louder. I think that is know as cake and eat it.

I personally would go with the standard system.

We supply standard to performance exhaust upgrade front section for less than MB charge.

Then you can either upgrade to full switching later on, stay with that if you are happy or wort case go back to standard if too loud

I think the standard exhaust is naff, and the performance once is excellent for the £££

I've driven with and it's not intrusive.

I wouldn't spec a new A/CLA45 without it.

as I use this for business, I need to be careful it isn't too Intrusive, Ive spoken to the Business Manager at my dealer and he agreed that standard would be beter placed for what I do.

Matts option is my get out clause should I decide later.... I admit when I drove the standard one, its seemed about right.

The louder variant maybe best suited to weekend drivers and guys in there lates 20s early 30s

Ok after a few beer last night I added the aero and exhaust, just to keep in warranty. I'll go see Matt at rebellion once she's bedded in and look at the remap possibly...

Anybody running this, is it noticeable I presume it is.
Reason I ask is I did this on my Subaru and had subarus 340 upgrade and you noticed it but not massively

I've test driven both standard and with the AMG performance exhaust and for me the latter was too loud. Unlike the C63 I had before this is loud all the time and I think sounds worse in the smaller A class. It's all personal though but I think if you weren't in the mood it would just annoy you.

A45 is a different car the 63,s etc, and think its best left as is.

Did it change tone when flicking between comfort and sport?

No it's the same all the time as far as I could tell and the salesman didn't as anything to that effect.

I've just checked a video online looks like sound wise it's the same, but in sport mode it pops a lot more...

Bloody hell why couldn't I test drive one with the bad ass exhaust on... Chris have you got yours? Or still waiting?
