G'day guys,
Just bought my first Mercedes a ML320 2000. Now being new to the marque I have a question about the throttle mount in the cabin. In my ML the throttle "twists" before it pulls straight. Now I assume that the mounting is broken. Is it simple to remove from the cabin, ie unbolt it from the firewall, and have a look to see what the problem is? Or is it more complicated?
Just an update, after examining the mounting with mirror and torch, I am convinced that the pin itself is not broken, but the pedal itself. What I need to do is remove the assembly form the car. I have undone the two bolts, that I can see, from the bulkhead, but the assembly still won't budge. Has anybody done this before, or have they got any illustrations, photo's etc. to give me an idea of what's stopping the removal?
Appreciate any ideas,
Bob
