Whilst attempting a cunning about turn around in a particularly rural and and muddy location the other day, I drove up over a mound of earth and most unfortunately the bumper just in front of the right front wheel bent a tad due to the less than Range Roverish clearance levels of the CLK.

Has anyone got any suggestions on how I can fix this without resorting to a wallet bashing exercise?

A few phone camera pictures are attached for your amusement.

The pics aren't very clear, but can you simply bend it back with gentle application of heat (powerful hairdryer, or hot air gun used with great care)?

I'm sure a bodyshop with a heat-gun could fix that in 5 minutes, or even yourself if you're brave! :)

Well, 45 minutes with the wheel off and a few tools including a lump hammer has got it looking just as it should. I now feel like a fully fledged mechanic!

Thanks for the info guys.

Only just seen this - but love the title :D

Glad you've fixed it ;)
