My wife has commented on how much busier the roads are getting so I understand your frustration, but....... I have heard of angry motorists stabbing, or even shooting a total stranger simply because of a very minor traffic infringement The person you squirt water at might look an inoffensive, mild mannered whimp,

BUT...........ONE DAY some one WILL take offence with your behaviour. How do they know what the liquid is?? It might be brake fluid, acid, or any other corrosive substance. What happens if they look round to see what has just hit their car, and run a child over??? DON'T DO IT

Your journey time might be extended at the very most by all of three seconds, and that is being more than fair, so if twenty cars carry out this manoeuvre then you are in real trouble. Your journey time will be extended by at the most one whole minute????

I keep prattling on about this, but simply because I enjoy talking to the very nice folks on this forum and I would hate for anything untoward to happen to anyone......

Life is too short, you are risking retaliation, big time. No doubt you have a very nice family, a nice house, and a nice car? why risk all this over a car overtaking you, when you think they shouldn't?

Would you squirt water into the face of Frank Bruno? (or similar proportioned person)

Would you like me to squirt an unknown substance onto your car?

I am not holier than thou, I am certainly NOT perfect, but I am.......

One of those types that learn by my mistakes.

It is not possible to teach the "nipper in" anything about good driving by fist-waving, glaring, or water-pistol-squirting.

I found it very difficult to teach some people good driving when I had their undivided attention in a classroom with teaching aids and their money in my pocket, so what chance does one have in a fleeting moment of aggression through a car window?

You are much more likely to have a lesson in what it is like to find yourself blocked in by a very angry man who now appears to be about 6' 5" and wants to teach you something. This happened to me in a carpark once when I tried to suggest that he was going the wrong way round. I have come a long way since then, and I still have a long way to go.
