W140 S500 Coupe
I am planning to list my W140 coupe on Ebay - it is in the classifieds here.

Not done a car listing before - so what pitfalls should i be aware of? What text should i put in the listing to ward off tyre kickers and people who bid and not purchase?

In my experience cars sell for a higher price if listed without a reserve. People seem to see a reserve set and lose interest.

Listing all the services it has had with dates seems to reassure people too along with lots of pictures including the Interior.

Flasheart your car looks lovely - have all invoices to hand to back up your details.

It's difficult to NOT put a reserve on a pricey item such as a car though, and a high starting price will also mean that lots of people will be put off and will look elsewhere. Plus - you don't want to be giving the car away for peanuts  If you set a reserve, there will always be those who email you to ask what this is. So you can decide whether or not you want to tell them. Just look through a good handful of listings and see how other people approach things. That's what I tend to do. Also, be prepared for 'annoying' emails asking if you will sell for 15p cash etc.

dont bother,, more trouble than it's worth,,(personal experience) put it in the autotrader,,

Thanks all - have now listed it
