Folks

I now have a snapped mast on my electric aerial. The nylon chord is intact and winds up and down. Can you get a replacement mast?

Should be able to get one from a dealer easily enough. I've replaced the mast twice on my R129 - it's a 5 minute job.

There's a generic 'how to' thread somewhere.

car-masts-uk sell these parts on flea-bay for about £25, it's the mast and chord.
Search for Mercedes w124 aerial.
Look at the tip of your mast and if the original Hirschman it should have a code engraved e.g. h04
HTH

Last one I got from a dealer was about £18, although they've undoubtedly gone up a bit since then (4 or 5 years ago).
