Had the aircon gas charged last year and also filled with STP Super Seal bought from halfords, air con has worked for longer this time so STP Super Seal works to a point.

Now after leaving the car at home for 2 weeks while on holiday, come back and the air con no longer works and the EC light is permanently on and will not turn off, having read some forums, there is mention of a temperature sensor that could be faulty, where is this sensor fitted, and wher can it be bought?

Also if anyone has any other ideas they would be gratefully received.

A leak in the system usually the condenser rad, just had mine replaced :( Have a look at the bottom of the rad, if you can see it for any oily gunge, if it's there you probably have a leak.

The sensor is at the bottom of the condensor and on my 203, the connector plug and socket were corroded beyond repair.
MB do a repair kit for the socket and also a new sensor.
This is what was stopping the AC working on mine.

I think I must have the same, mine shows its full but red light of death is on.

Will check out the sensor on the condenser , thanks Lyserman/Tony
