Hi
I received my 2010 W204 c350 CDi (pre facelifet), used approved, in May this year. Since the start my 3 Ipods and my iPhone 4 randomly disconnect and then reactivate, repeatedly, whilst playing through the Media Interface.
First message is: No device connected
Second message is: Activating device…..please wait
This happens whether stationary or driving. MP3s stored on a USB play fine through the Media Interface. The iPod cable supplied seems fine.
I have trawled forums and cannot find answers. The local MB dealer has seen it happening yet has been unable to find the fault, indicating I should switch to using the USB input.
The Comand unit is, I believe, a COMAND-APS NTG4-W204.
The Apple gear is:
• iPod touch – 1st generation
• iPod nano 4th generation
• iPhone 4
All of them are regularly updated with the latest O/S.
I would be very grateful for any advice. Thank in advance for your time.
