Yup - by now you've well guessed it - they were offering me Portzy's car :D :D .

We had a real good giggle about it and I just had to share :D They are a lovely dealership and I was very wicked but loved the deflation in his voice when I told him I knew all about the car. Just great :D

This made my day on Saturday, well I nearly had an accident actually :o , when I first read it. I honestly hope MB Harrogate dont get their fingers burnt with this one, as Pammy said they are great bunch up there and I would hate to think they might get done over with it, somehow though I think they wont. Heck, I'm starting to feel guilty now!.

Hmmmm, the trouble I can cause without even trying ;)

Portzy.

Dealer stuck with un-sellable new SLK? I don't think so.

I can just imagine the next person through the door being told: "Now, on some cars, yes, it is true that Comand is indeed desirable. But the SLK? You would never be able to sell it second-hand with Comand installed...". No, what you want is... well, it just so happens that over here..."

My local stealer told me they have sold alot more SLKs without command than with, might just be guys are buying camera seekers with nav.
I know that CD changers are not as popular due to the size and loss of glove space plus ipods etc.

gary not long now dave

This time it really does!!!

Just got back from a week away in North Wales and the answerphone's choca block with messages. One in particular was very interesting :D , its here and its here for deffo this time because the sales guy has seen it and he's touched it and its all speccced up good and proper, just as it should have been back in July and its mine, all mine, this coming Friday.

Congrats, this will be one of the longest weeks for you in ages!!

Brilliant Dave - I've been thinking about you and wondered if one of the new SLKs they had might be yours. I was in there on the 31st and they were a tad busy getting lots of lovely new motors ready :D

Dave if you put a pillow and blanket in the car you can sleep in it, a nice touch is to put a tray on the passenager seat then the wife can bring you your meals as well.

Yes Howard Giggleswick is real and we also have

Appletreewick, Askham Bryan, Askham Richard, Wetwang and, Mankinholes.
There's even a place called Dicken-dyke :o

We even have a Castle Howard up here.

Mankinholes is a great name.....

Theres a place in Cornwall right near the A30 called Kennards House....

I always wanted to change my name to Kennard and buy a house there , which i could also name Kennards House so my address could be

Mr Kennard
Kennards House
Kennards House
Cornwall

Or perhaps i just get bored on long journeys
