The ongoing saga with my C270 continues....
I called today to check when I'll be having my car back and was told that the part they need to fix the rear screen demister also works the fuel gauge (!!?) So they've had to find the part which will be here tomorrow.

Does this sound right to anyone?

IIRC, both items are linked to the rear SAM so it's entirely plausible.

yes is plausable. electronics on modern cars are so complex.

on my bmw the radar guided cruise control sensor broke so they had to replace it. when it came to code it to the car they couldnt because i'd retrofitted a digital TV tuner in place of the standard analogue tuner. it could only be coded once the original tuner was plugged back in. crazy, but thats modern cars for you...

Thanks guys - hopefullyI'll have it back tomorrow (they've had it just over 2 weeks and I've only driven it for 2 days!!)
