Am I Getting Old?

You haven't seen the "ricer" brigade then. For decades now the Civic's of the world have been sought after by the modified car community......

Indeed a trend started with the 80' CRX.

I'm starting to see a lot more Civics without the tat stuck on them and actually, I think the whole thing is a mess to start with - let alone with half of Halfords stuck on them.

Jazz is actually aimed at asian younger drivers believe it or not. My wife has a jazz as does my in laws and i cant fault it. Obv no where near as comfy as my c class but it's idea school run and shopping cart

We bought one for Mrs JB in 2004 new. It wasn't the most comfortable car but it was faultless for the 8 years we owned it. You could fit a full size internal door in one as well.

Amazing little cars.

Only didn't replace it because they wanted £17k for the same specification we had before. £17k, for a Jazz?

It was a constant source of amusement for us to guess at the age of Jazz drivers before we saw them. :D

Theyre like a tardis. While its running well it'll be kept. I just changed the front discs and pads last week for the price of a set of pads on mine [emoji15]

Yes, servicing them, even from a Honda main dealer, just required handing over some crap from the bottom of your pocket.

Did nearly 50mpg on a run as well from the 1.4 petrol CVT we had.

I agree - the styling of the current Civic is pretty awful, whereas the 2005 one was so fresh and sharp I bought one for running around London. Great car (superb 2.2 diesel) let down in my case by a front seat without enough lumbar support.

This on the other hand is what the Yanks get ----starting at $20k :-

Definitely the best shape by far although I do like the immediate successor.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Everyone to their own. etc.
