Just seen the price of the AMG filler cap///////////////////// Lot of money for something that is only seen when fueling up I thought the genuine door pins were mad money, I was lucky to get a pair of genuine ones at half price

Its probably because the filler cap is something you see the most when driving one of these lol

Yep, it makes filling up a little more bearable.

Before Mercedes started selling them in a presentation box you could pick them up really cheaply, like £12 or less IIRC. I managed to get a pair.

They then superseded the part number to the one in the box and charged literally 10x the price. Even the parts guy at the dealer was surprised how cheap the cap was as soon as he saw the AMG logo.

Mainly because the price makes the cost of the fuel seem positively cheap!

I wouldn't go without it now that I had one, its a nice touch and the gift box is a nice idea. I would definitely buy myself another present and have it in my next car

Ok I’ve read this thread several times. So what is the part number for a 205 C63s 2018 saloon and where should I order it from? Guess I’m having a blond day. They do look cracking. I’m considering the fuel filler cap as well but think the missis might need a new dress first . Thanks for help guys

Looks like the metal fuel cap is only for W205 and 206 Quite like the 507 edition gearshift tho, better wait until my car is finally fixed I suppose!

I actually found your thread on pistonheads the part number is A0008170608, it was the first thing I noticed upon getting my car, why is there a merc star above the merc star very weird.

EDIT - Nevermind he replied to me and told me he bought it off amazon, I found it on ebay and while it does look more defined on the detail it’s adhesive backed. I wish Mercedes would make the detail on them like this though.

Does anyone know which part number this one is? It was fitted to a W204 C63 and he gave part number A0008170608 but it can’t be as I have that one and it looks nothing like this (mine was bought from the dealer) As others in this thread the one I bought the detail is really shallow almost like the fake ones on ebay before the new badge came out.

The one on his car looks loads better, the detail on the badge looks more defined and stands out more and also the overall side thickness of the badge is nearly double the size.

Each to their own, but I would say the picture above is of a fake/copy badge and IMO doesn’t look as good as the OEM badge.
