We have just completed another conversion.

This time the customer requested SS headers (maniflolds) and a PCS de-cat pipe.

It goes like a scalded cat!!

It is now the 4th car we have done. They don't get any easier!!

They are all on Jacks phone at the min. I will get them soon.

what kind of SS headers were used in your latest conversion?
there are some shi--y ebay headers for cheap money, however I think they blow hard!

For what engine? I have two options depending on budget and performance requirements.

hows it going with them headers any problems?

Not so far. Andy27456 has had them on for a while now and other than a stud vibrating and getting loose no issues at all.

They sound excellent with the PCS pipe on. Nice and deep without droning.

What's happened to the 43 engine?

I have it in the workshop. I still have my old one too. It's only done 81k.

can I have one C55 please? :D

nb's one is one we converted a while ago. It's a cracking car. It needs nothing mechanicly. Body is A1 too.

Jack and I spent a lot of time and effort getting it perfect.

It does a 0-60 in 4.9.

Blow hard?

I have seen them headers and they are very good for the money. Normally headers are around the £1000 mark

do they actually work those fleabay headers?
read stories about weld cracks n stuff.
I thought Kleemans were the only good stuff?

The Kleeman headers also crack. I am replacing a set soon with a set of Renntech headers.

The ebay headers seem very good value. No cracks as yet.

There are stories of Kleemann's cracking as well but still probably one the best value headers around. I bought a set of PLM headers off eBay they are typically priced at US$2000 but they do accept keen offers.

I have put them through some serious punishment and still holding strong, I held a set of Renntech shorty headers down at PCS they other day and the PLM's are remarkably similar in design!

Huge difference in feel of the metal though the Renntech ones must be at least 2 or even 3 times the weight.

When these PLM's do go (or maybe if I just get bored) will probably replace with a set of custom long tube headers.
