Definitely not wrong, go for it, just smarten's ya calipers up nicely. Personally I like red, but the choice is yours.

Silver looks fresh / new, will be doing mine when better weather gets here!

They are not pretty or smooth lumps of iron , silver will only highlight the uglyness and show up brake dust like silver brake disc hubs .

The highlight is the alloy wheel , do not detract the eye...

On a related side note, if you change the colour of the calipers do you than also have to declare it your insurance as a modification?
