Another Richard Head

Yuck

Perhaps it was rescued from a scrap yard after some kind of nasty accident and put back on the road with some cover up parts? ;)

Horrid, why do that to a car?

Ian.

customising cars is a very subjective thing - it's the old "one man's meat is another man's poison" and what one person sees as a "subtle little mod" another will see as "defacing a beautiful piece of engineering"

Ian, just bear in mind, he could be reading threads on here and thinking

"what sort of muppet takes out a perfectly good 6 cylinder engine and 4 speed auto then tries to shoehorn an old underpowered V8 and three speed box into an old 190?"

Andy

PS I don't like that one either :)

Oh Dear !!

Hideous

Apart from the front spoiler (which does not work from any angle) and the Scooby type rear fin, I dont think it is TOO bad. But then you know I am a bit of a bling boy anyway.

I'll tell you exactly what's wrong with it....

190E 1.8i Automatic

He started with the base model and under all that expensive body kit that's what it still is

but in his opinion that is probably exactly what is right with it.

He started with a base model that loads of other people have got and turned it into something personal that no-one else has got.

No different to the guys that build kit cars, customise cars etc etc etc

Beauty is truly in the eyes of the beholder :)

I agree with you entirely, Andy. I'm not beholding though. ;)

For me it's mainly the spoiler / picnic table and SEC style grille that I don't like, other than that it's not too OTT really. No bidding from this quarter. :)

I hope he is reading these threads. He could learn a lot about subtle mods on our Marque. As for what muppet etc. Simple really.

a) Engineering excersize
b) If it was easy to do then there would be hundreds on the streets
c) It gives me something to do other than walk the dog first thing in the morning :D
d) When complete it should provide fun for many members of the forum
e) Its a learning curve for what we really want to end up with.

It's not a 500SEC grille. For that, you have to change the lights too. This is just a 190 grille with a big star.

It's a nasty car, done badly, and for some reason, his reserve is more than £920 (!)

14 years ago that sort of kit would have been considered cool.........how times and tastes change
