Did a search on here and I think I have the answer, but just need someone to confirm I'm right or wrong before I go ordering 4 new tyres.

I am upgrading my standard 15" rims on my w124 e320 to 17" 7.5j

I'm I right to say the tyres size required are 205/45/17

Many Thanks!

If you want to achieve the same rolling radius or as near as possible then you need o tell us the size of your current tyres i.e. the section size and aspect ratio. ..../..../15

Use this:Tyre Size Calculator - Legal Requirements - Etyres

You are welcome!

The tyre size of 225/45/17 is an exact match for your current set up in terms of rolling radius. One more thing I am sure you have checked, is the offset of the wheels you are proposing to fit compatible?

They came off a mate's 190e so at a guess I would say ET35 BUT, will double check before ordering tyres.

Don't want to push my luck, but you wouldn't know the ET on a w124 e320 lol

I have no idea but it may well be stamped inside the wheel :)

I would check for sure, also you may need different bolts depending on the wheels as the head of the bolt may have been different on the donor car :)
