Any meets in the new year?

Thanks Stuart. Good to hear your thoughts.

Residuals is not a worry as it would be a lease.

I do hear you regarding XDrive. However, B180d Auto, Fiesta 1.4 petrol auto are our last 2 cars. So I'm sure It'd not feel boring to us. But totally understand you saying that when used to M3 & C63.

Sorry this is totally off topic

Ant.

Decent deal but I'd be inclined to go 330d m sport without X drive and get a manual box. If your set on the 335d though bear in mind at £309 that will need some options throwing at it which I imagine will bump it up somewhat. BMW you do need to get quite heavy with the options list.

Yes, know. But Auto is vital as Debbie is disabled. (Hence the estate/touring too)

Only options we'd want is heated front/rear seats, reversing camera, M Sport braking system (I'm obsessed with big discs and like painted calipers) and ferric Grey alloys.

I've enquired and that spec would be £338.00 pm. Metallic paint is in with price because it's an M Sport.

£10 per month less if I don't want maintenance. Not sure it'd be worth it with 24 month service intervals, 16,000 miles.

Maintenance I wouldn't bother with unless it includes tyres.

I'd still go 330d if it was cheaper. That X drive set up is pretty awful handling wise. Car noticeably rolls more into corners.

I had one as a loaner when the M3 went in for service. Very torquey, very fast without feeling it.

The only issue with the car was the X drive, it raises the suspension and takes away all the usual BMW driving dynamics and basically makes it quite boring. That's why I went SQ5. Also bear in mind 335d residuals are not as good. Personally for a diesel estate with performance I would be putting my money in an Audi A6 BiTDI

I totally agree with every aspect of this post as it mirrors my own experience.

Just curious to know your opinion on 335d XDrive M Sport touring? Lots of power and torque and nicer sounding engine than Merc diesel. You too Stuart. Ant.

Unfortunately I wouldn't know mate, although I'd stick with what bmws normally have and skip the X drive as Stuart mentioned. BMW's are nice but still don't feel as, dare I say it, 'plush' as that of a Mercedes. I also second the opinion of a fast diesel to go for an Audi estate :thumb:

I'm a fan of many a Deutsche Marque :D

This is a mb forum we couldn't care less about the other crap. ..!

You could apply that theory to sooooooo many threads on here. Jokes, ban the person above, the things kids say etc etc etc. There was a valued member asking advice on Range Rovers. That thread ran many pages.

Come on, join in with other topics, you might even have a lil fun. :thumb:

To be fair Ant there seems to be a lot of snobbery on here. It's quite amusing. :D

Cheers Ash. TBH the main reason for the question was the cheap lease. The 330d without XDrive is the same price and I like the idea of 4 wheel drive in the winter months given where we live (frostily hills that aren't always gritted)

We couldn't afford the A6. And as already said. I'm not the kind of driver that knows enough about cars handling to care too much about XDrives down side. I've got a B180d for gods sake. :D
