Hi everyone. Does anyone here have a W204 with Audio 20 and an iPhone 4 that has had success with accessing your contacts through Bluetooth? I'm having trouble with this. I have updated to the new ios firmware and had the technician @ my local dealership update the cars software too but still no joy.

Any ideas?

Cheers

Anyone???

The lads from Command Online are sure there's a few on here with success with this. I want to get my facts straight before I march into my local dealer and tell them that the Car Audio Software they say they've updated, is not up to date, or that there must be something else wrong.

Cheers

When was your firmware update done ?

Latest was July 2010 for W204.

Also, do you have Comfort phone and an iPhone cradle or are you using the head unit Bluetooth ? If using iPhone cradle the firmware can be updated on the phone cradle.

Hi. Thanks for your reply.
The car was in at the end of September and apparently had several updates including the audio amongst other things. I am using the car's standard Bluetooth, no cradle. Can I find out what firmware I have by going into the Engineer Mode on the HU? I have accessed it in the past for a butchers and think I can recall seeing what model, version and firmware details of the unit listed?

Cheers

The cars standard Bluetooth does nit allow you to access the phone contacts. MB should know that. You can load the address book from a different phone such as a Blackberry via the cars Bluetooth as a one-off operation an they remain on the car.

Unless you have full phone prep then it ain't happening.....

Thanks Simon.
Do you know why this is? Is it due to the handset's (iPhone 4) Bluetooth profile or the HU?
