Anybody know anything about this car?

The mileage isn't bad for the money and the car appears to be nice in the pictures. Call the dealer up and ask him if you can test drive and get an inspection. If he's fine with it, then go ahead and get it checked out. Also get a vehicle history report to make sure that the car has not been in a wreck that was reported to insurance and the service history is up to date.

If he gives you any crap about not test driving it or getting it inspected then walk away because he's probably hiding something. I had to help my mother buy a car in London a couple of years ago and was quite amazed by the number of duchebags that I talked to who called themselves car dealers. You wouldn't last long in Texas with that kind of trading practice.

Your car looks in great shape AD, I was looking at it earlier and I'm surprised you've not sold it at the price you have it up at.

I was tempted as a second car but I am trying not to go back to the dark side.

Good luck with the sale.

Thanks John. It's priced very much to sell. It isn't perfect but no 140k mile car is. But at 6500 I am surprised it is still here to be honest. I need it gone, I have a V10 engined M5 to look at but cannot pull the trigger until the E55 goes .

Can’t believe this hasn’t sold yet, at the price you’ve got it at it’s a steal imo.

Cheers. Yeah it's cheap. I know these cars aren't in great demand but even so, the price I have it at, I am surprised that it is still here.

Well I may come down and have a look when I next get the chance if it's convenient for you.

Curious as to you wanting the v10 M5 for engine note exhaust tone absolutely epic but on a mechanical front they are a money pit I have heard numerous horror story's on the early models. I fancied one but just they nothcy gear box alone put me off. If find a decent one must be one hell of a car but better than an e55 very debatable!

It's the best colour silver IMO. If I couldn't get black, I was going to go for Cubanite. I love it.

I get the V10 thing on the M5 but SMG III is a time bomb.

I wish you luck with it but that's why I went for an E55K!

I've had nothing but grief with recent Bm'ers. I went from an E39 to an F10 to an E60 because my car allowance was quite generous. This was taken next to my E63 645 - note the oil "puddles" in front of the 6 series. I got rid of them all then bought an E64 645 and that car lasted 2 days before it went back to the dealer. Been running a CLK320d Sport since November and it's ran faultlessly. I'll tick the AMG box soon enough :)

I'd love an E60 M5 or M6 but bought an E55K with my own money. If it was someone else paying I'd have the M5 or M6!

Sure, I am back in the country at Easter so let me know as and when.

I'll be getting one with a warranty. A V10 is on my have to own list before they're banned from our roads. I'd also like a car that handles and I'm afraid that the e55 simply doesn't :(

Cheers. Cubanite does look good. I would have liked black but this came up and was too good to turn down.

The M5 will have a warranty so I wont need to worry too much. I just need the V10 before I go twin turbo V8

No mate. A change in circumstances rapidly squashed this dream for me. Very miffed.
