Anyone tried adapting a W209 CLK 55 front bumper for a W203 C55?

MB today told me it looked the same but wouldn't fit. Which would be a shame since they come up on eBay far more often than C55 bits do! Anyone out there tried?

Any idea how painful it was? Haven't managed to find a thread yet describing it (ie. did it involve any customisation of mount points, etc. to make it fit?).

It will be a straight swap, but when I swapped my CLK55 bumper with a 63 one, it was the most grief I've had with a mod - worse than changing a dashboard!

So this attached CLK55 bumper (W209?) should have identical inner mountings to my W203 C55?
