Apple iPhone and Mercedes iPod Interface

I have the Mercedes iPod interface fitted in my R-class. I was thinking of buying the Mercedes HFP bluetooth adapter so that I can use my iPhone in the car. What would be ideal for me is having the iPod connector relocated from the glove box to the centre console. This would mean that I can easily plug the iPhone in when I get in the car for music, phone and also charging. Does anyone know if this is easy to achieve?

Thanks,

Steve

I have just had the iphone pre-wire with the HFP Bluetooth adapter I also have ipod integration in the glovebox. Don't see the point of moving the ipod connecter to the centre console just plug your iphone into the connector in the glovebox. You will still be able to play music, charge and phone through comand, plus its out of sight.

Hi,

It was just for convenience that I wanted it relocated. It would be far easier to plug the iPhone in it if the connection was located in the centre console. It is not very easy to reach the far left of the glove box in my car, when sitting in the passenger seat.

Kind regards,

Steve
