Prob the latter having allowed a gentle cruise down the A59 for those that wnt it I see enough of it to not be bothered about that and it is officially the most dangerous road on Britain according to a news report the other day

There is a pub on the A640 near the Yorks Lancs border called Nont Sarah's which has large carpark,the Subaru clubs use it somtimes. Easy to get to from the M62, from either direction with good driving roads all around. Its around 1200 to 1500ft above sea level with great views on a good day.
The food was fine the last time I had a meal there but that was over a year ago.

Is the GTG still going to be on the 23 April.
Also how many people are interested in giving Nont Sarah's a try. Its in the middle of the country (east to west) and getting there is simple.
From the south M6 or M1 then M62 A640
From the north M6 or A1 then M62 A640
If you know the M62 Nont Sarah's over looks the large dam(Scammonden) after the farm house in the middle of the motorway.
The weather can be a little bit wild at times Its very near the spot that Shude took the snow pics
